It’s still in beta, it has bugs, but it’s really, really good.
Current issues:
- Obsidian web clipper safari extension can’t save templates. Therefore I can’t set up a path for it to save web clips or format them as I would like. This is web clipper not being up to date for an unreleased OS, which is entirely understandable.
There have been rumors of a low-end, cheap MacBook literally using an iPhone processor. I have to wonder if this cheap MacBook, if released, will actually run iPad OS 26+, not macOS. It’s very close to a real computer. Biggest downside? There is no way to run custom software. But that’s only a downside to us; that’s utopia for Apple. If they can get into the budget laptop market with a machine that’s hard-walled-garden and fend off the offended computing purists with “it’s just iPad OS!” … that’s a good step for them. Not for us, but for them.
